There is lots of work happening to progress the Little Lake Boort Foreshore Recreation Precinct Masterplan.

Tennis Club lighting and fence

Council have received funding through the State Government's Local Sports Infrastructure Fund to light two courts at the Boort Lawn Tennis Club. Complementing the project Council will replace and realign the existing tennis court fencing as part of the club relinquishing two courts for the Youth Activity space.

The fencing work commenced in July and both the fence and the lights will be in place for the upcoming tennis season.

Youth Activity Space

A youth activity space will be constructed in Nolen's park to the east of the tennis courts. This project was also funded through the State Government's Local Sports Infrastructure Plan. The design for the space has been developed in consultation with the local community including students at Boort District P-12 School. With a pump track and skate park as a central feature, the space will support a wide range of uses including bikes, BMX, skateboards, scooters and rollerblades.

Construction is expected to be underway before the end of the year.

Croquet Club

The Boort Croquet Club will undergo upgrades including a DDA compliant toilet and improved storage and shelters.

Planning for this project is in progress, and work will commence in 2027.

Open Space

There will also be some works undertaken to enhance open space areas along the foreshore, including traffic movement and pathway improvements.
