Community Engagement Policy
Help shape how Council engages with the community.
Loddon Shire Council is updating our Community Engagement Policy that will guide how we involve our community in Council decision-making.
The policy outlines Council's commitment to engaging with residents, community groups, businesses and stakeholders on decisions, projects, plans and services that may affect them. It sets out when engagement will occur, the different ways people can participate, and how community feedback will be considered in the decision-making process.
The policy is designed to support transparent decision-making, strengthen two-way communication and ensure community members have meaningful opportunities to contribute their views, ideas and local knowledge. It also aligns with the requirements of the Local Government Act 2020 and recognised community engagement principles.
